Stephen Scott has four decades of leadership experience and achievements. A trusted mentor to C-suite leaders, Stephen created The 15
Disciplines® Leadership Framework and has written two books titled Ethics Trump Power and The 15 Disciplines – The Essential
Checklist for Productive Leaders. He shares his leadership expertise as a keynote speaker, program facilitator and as the Founder of
ETHICLEAD, a leadership consultancy with global reach based in Brisbane, Australia.
Stephen started his career in the Royal Australian Air Force and where he received two awards for outstanding leadership; The Dux award
for Officer Qualities at the Royal Australian Air Force College and the Air Commander Australia’s Commendation for his leadership of No 1
Squadron, to improve F-111 capability within significant resource constraints in complex and demanding environments.
After 22 years of service in the Air Force, Stephen spent the next two decades building his leadership consultancy, today known as
ETHICLEAD. During the first five years, he serviced a wide range of sectors including training businesses, health, elite sport, light
manufacturing, agriculture, environmental science, renewable energies, bio-organics and aviation.
In 2010 he facilitated his first consulting project in education. Three years later, Stephen became the lead facilitator for
Independent Schools Queensland, designing and delivering leadership programs for new principals and aspiring principals. He continues this
today, teaching leadership to over 60 independent school leaders from across the state each year. He is also the chair of two Principals’
Roundtable Programs which have been in operation since 2017 and delivers five-day leadership programs to schools and businesses all over
Australia. In between these commitments, Stephen speaks at conferences and on panels.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys riding his jet ski and paddle board, wood working, flying his drone, and spending valuable time with his
family.
